Famous people are no happier than unknown people. They might be happier from the side effects of fame, such as wealth. Then again, a significant proportion aren't any happier even from that. It is also commonplace for creative artists to complain that they are slaves to some meme that they created, because the crowd demands that they perform it at every concert or that their paintings have some gimmick that sells well and that they are famous for. The "nobody" can earn a living, live simply, and get satisfaction from humble things while being left alone.
