>forget I was on a work Zoom meeting
>head to /gif/ and start fapping
>I realize what's happening after a couple minutes and slam laptop screen
>4 missed calls from boss on cell phone
>get fired this morning
>wife still doesn't know
>go to the casino today to de-stress
>lost our rent money
bros, what the FUCK do I do now? I want to get a bottle of whiskey to calm my nerves, but I'm down to our last $40 in our account, and I still need to get my wife a birthday present tomorrow. Should I just kill myself?

You had a problem you could have solved, but instead, you made it worse. All of this happened because you couldn’t accept the first mistake and take accountability.

If you had just accepted it, things wouldn’t have escalated this way:

>"I messed up, I fapped on company time on screen, I will answer my boss..."
>"I messed up, I fapped on company time on screen, and ignored my boss..."
>"I messed up, I fapped on company time on screen, ignored my boss, and didn’t tell my wife..."
>"I messed up, I fapped on company time on screen, ignored my boss, didn’t tell my wife, then went to the casino and lost our rent money..."

Do you see the pattern? Every time you refused to accept what happened and take responsibility, things spiraled further out of control.

I’m not saying this to make you feel bad. I’m saying it so you can see the real problem. The problem isn’t (you) jerking off while married. The problem isn’t (you) jerking off on company time. The problem isn’t (you) jerking off on screen. The problem isn’t even (you) hiding it from your wife or gambling away the rent money. Of course, all of these are problems, but they’re symptoms of a bigger and scarier issue: a lack of acceptance and accountability.

My advice? Accept what you did. Take responsibility for your actions. No excuses.

As for the rent money, do you have any savings? Will you receive any payout after being fired? If not, try peddling or selling things you don’t use. But first, address the bigger, scarier problem at hand instead of avoiding it and seeking escapism.

By the way, I forgot to include in my response. Now that you saw the issue, can you understand that this right here is just going to escalate your situation even further and is fruit of the underlying problem which is escapism?

I should be a psychologist, because I read you like a book.

How and when are you going to tell your wife? I would avoid mentioning the jerking off part, she will held you in contempt. But it's useless to not tell her if you're not going to stop. You clearly have a problem with porn if you jerk off in company time.

I might just tell her I quit my job, and start job hunting ASAP. I can then sell my gaming PC to get the rent money.

I'll see a therapist eventually, I guess. She won't be happy about me "quitting" my job, but she would probably divorce me if she found out I got fired for fapping during a work meeting.

Don’t sell your PC. Sell other stuff instead, maybe a game console, an instrument, or even an old phone. Never sell the computer. I work in the software industry, and you can always make money from your PC. I’ve seen many people get laid off, sell their computers to pay rent or groceries, and then end up stuck outside the industry forever because they didn’t have the money to buy another one. Without a PC, they couldn’t find work or generate income, it became an endless loop.

Yes, I figure therapists could help much more than I can. I hope you can find a new job.

But, in your job, is there anyone that could tell your wife? Because if there are, and she discovers from another person, it could be worst. But again, if there's not, I would not worry about it.

What happens if you don’t “calm your nerves”? Are you going to spontaneously combust? Be a man and take responsibility for your mistakes. It’s not easy but it’s the right thing to do. Take a day to feel sorry for yourself (and do not do anything destructive like gambling or drinking). Then start looking for a new job. Your wife relies on you to
