How do I stop judging people based on their appearance?

Develop your character through hardship then maybe one day you'll be able to put yourself in the shoes of others.

you grow out of it as you meet more people who aren't what you expect

You shouldn't. Try searching about physiognomy

Telepathy don't exist.
Appearance is the only way to judge people.

Telepathy does exist by proxy. It's called language, words. If you want to read someone's mind, just pay attention to what they say. Because what they say is made up of their thoughts and their thoughts come from their mind.

You shouldn't stop, you should judge them even harder people want to be judged by their appearance.

People use t-shirts and hats and other clothing items to go "look at me! look at what I think is interesting!"

I used to purely be a "metal & punk band" t shirt guy before I also expanded to anime and movies and comic book characters, mostly goth -adjacent shite. I also used to dress full goth as a young adult.

If someone is walking around with a MAGA hat you can probably guess what they're about and also if someone is walking around with bright blue hair you can also probably guess what they're about as well.

likewise, if someone doesn't really have a style and/or they dress & look kinda shit it also says a lot about them.

There's nothing wrong with making assumptions about people based on their appearance. You have those instincts for a reason. The way people present themselves can tell you a lot about what to expect from them. If I walked up to you completely naked and holding a machete, with a crazed look in my eye, would you think it was wrong to judge me based on my appearance? No, this is fucking retarded.

Of course sometimes people can surprise you, and you should be open to having your preconceptions challenged, but 9/10 times the way someone presents themselves will give you a general idea about them.
