Spending a month in a city to find work
I'm 31 years old, no degree, live with my parents, and have very little work experience. I hate South Carolina and need to get out, but nobody out-of-state is accepting my job applications. I have 9000 dollars saved up. Should I just get an AirBnb for a month and apply anywhere until I get work? I have a working car and no debt. I'm thinking Kansas City, Chicago, or San Antonio.

What's so bad about South Carolina? Justify spending your life savings on a move.

I grew up in Connecticut and miss the seasons. Am I supposed to be a NEET my entire life? If I have to get a job I don't want to do it here.

Why don't you build up more funds by working now, then move later? Why are you so deadset on moving now? You need to build up work experience before you do this haphazard bs and end up homeless on the street.

Literally anything entry-level. I just want a job that will get me enough to live alone in a studio apartment. Whether that's dishwashing or doing data entry. I'm not a smart person and have little skills, so I'm limited in what I'll be able to get.

I don't think you realize how increasingly difficult that is to do. *Especially* in large fucking cities like the ones you mentioned. Have you even looked up entry level salaries and rents of places that meet your standards?

I'm going insane. We moved from a two-story modest home in Connecticut to a single-floor "home" in SC that is essentially just a large apartment. We're all on top of each other and I'm going crazy.

You're being emotional like a woman. Take a deep breath and chill the fuck out. You need to take some time and formulate a real fucking plan. Because yeeting yourself across the country into an AirBnb with a small amount of money "because your house is small" with zero plan is dumb as fuck.
