How do I get an artistic job?
I have a good imagination and many ideas, and I'm very critical of everything. I think I can make great art, and by this I mean mostly cinema and videogames but I could make anything else if I had the opportunity.
How do I find a job that allows me to create art?
One problem I have is that I live in an area where very little happens, few events, few courses, few etc.

Do something with the internet
Look for people needing help with art in their games, maybe, get your name out there

I'm mostly an idea man, I don't know anybody that needs ideas.

Well yeah then that's essentially useless lol

Learn to put those ideas into something. Learn how to make music, video editing, writing, whatever.

I'm in a similar boat; I have an active imagination at the ripe old age of 22 and never learned how to apply it. I'm essentially doing right now what I've recommended to you lol, because you're right in that nobody needs an idea guy

Stop smoking weed dummy !

ha ha ha ... You are self pleasure seeking faggot , burden to society

First rise above your own body appetites, clean up, get up with the sunrise early. Look at the life like a real men and thing what do people need most? what service or product I could provide?

>I have a good imagination and many ideas, and I'm very critical of everything

No you not, it just feels like that, when you smoke weed. You just looking for 'what else I could enjoy'

Real men look 'how I can bring joy to family, community'... and for that you can be anything it is needed.

Makinf art is a craft and not just a talent. You have to know how to use the tools of the trade, and what has been done before (or proven undoable). You don't just walk in to an artistic job. You study and learn the basics of the craft.

>Makinf art is a craft and not just a talent.
No, it is only craft achieved by long time doing it.

>Talent?
there is no such a thing and no one has born with a skils

People are born with talent for stupidity

Could you though? Not to sound like a redditor, but this kinda sounds like the Dunning Kruger to me. If you have no experience creating art, you have no real reference for how hard it is to actually make something good. I'm pretty competent at music, but I have really strong and insightful opinions about movies for example, to the point where people have told me I should publish film reviews online, but I don't know the first thing about actually making a movie from scratch. Just because I can talk about how great Jaws is for hours on end, doesn't mean I'm the next Spielberg if only you gave me a camera. To make a movie is a logistical nightmare, being an ideas man is easy and frankly not enough.

Why don't you try to write some short stories or make some simple drawings, since writing and drawing both have low barriers of entry with very high skill ceilings. Many directors start out as writers. It's all storytelling in the end.

Ideas are useless if you can't execute them. You probably are afraid of executing them because you know the idea in your head can't be executed properly with your level of talent. You have to put SOMETHING down and then work from there so you can actually properly conceptualize what you're dealing with.

Talent absolutely is a thing, and if you say otherwise, you clearly have never worked with art or music. There are people who take singing lessons for years, and they're still outclassed by a talented karaoke singer with zero training. I have taught guitar to people, and some students can play along with me on the first lesson, while others lack the hand-eye coordination to even hit the strings. Mozart learned to play the violin before he could even talk and with zero lessons, for fuck's sake.

I have the right ideas but not the resources. If I was in a brainstorming room, I would really shine.
I did write comics in the past but never get to have them drawn by an artist. Now I'm not interested in comics anymore. Movies and videogames interest me now and I'm a really good critic, I know when something is really badly made even if I'm not always able to put it in words.

Dunning-Kruger effect. If you really get good at art you realize most of these people don't know what they're talking about. Video essay YT people are a dime a dozen and they are typically terrible at actually creating. All successful stories are at some level derivative because story telling has existed since before recorded history and we have long figured out what satisfies humans and what doesn't.

>Movies and videogames interest me now
Well, you are setting the barrier of entry really high then. Movies require a crew and tons of equipment, and they are ALWAYS hard to make, unless you want to make handheld art films like that kid from American Beauty, in which case, more power to you. With video games, you're probably going to have to learn to code as well as some type of video game graphic design like pixel art or 3D-modeling. If you want to get onboard some project with people that know what they're doing, and you're just the ideas guy, then that is likely not going to happen. The position you're describing sounds more like being some type of consultant rather than being an artist. Artists have to master an actual craft to be referred to as such.

>I'm a really good critic, I know when something is really badly made even if I'm not always able to put it in words.
I'm not sure such a thing even exists, but if you can't properly articulate why something is good or bad, then it doesn't really sound like you are a good critic. In any case, everyone's a critic anyway, it's not something that's in high demand. Being a critic is easy. Being an artist is hard. At some point you're gonna have to buckle down and learn an actual craft.

>I have the right ideas but not the resources. If I was in a brainstorming room, I would really shine.
So you don't make art and can't make art but it's okay because you have some ideas about how one day maybe you could possibly LMAO nobody likes an "art ideas guy." 1000% guaranteed you have entry-level taste but you're surrounded by retarded hicks so you think you're the Picasso of 4chan
>how do I get an artistic job
You don't. They don't exist.
>I think I can make great art
Then shut the fuck up and make it.
>How do I find a job that allows me to create art?
Look for something indoors, white-collar, with a regular schedule and time off. Make art in your free time.
>my area is bad
If you're very serious about art, you'll have to move to a major city.

I will now anticipate and respond to your retarded whining
>no bro but bro it's like bro I don't have like, materials
Make something from what you have.
>Bro but like bro I've got like, taste and shit
Congrats. You are tall enough to stand in line for the rollercoaster.
>bro it's like, bro, it's like, bro I'm fuckin... Vidya bro, it's like --
Do you know how to code? No? Then shut the fuck up and learn to code and make a game.
>bro but like... bro like... execution isn't like, my thing bro
Then why should I care about you? Why should anyone care about you or what you make? If I wanted to see bad art I could pull a guy off the street and pay him 10 bucks to make me bad art. In any genre. Poetry, music, vidya, lots of bad shit out there. That's easy.
>bro like it's like bro I wanna like... Bro I wanna like, tell someone what to do and they do it
Why would anyone listen to you? Obviously you're not wealthy. You have no artistic skills. You're just another annoying critic on the internet.
>Bro but like, you don't get it, like bro, my ideas, bro, like, they're like, good and shit, so like --
Shut the fuck up and make something.

Learn to draw or at least sketch. Ideas are nebulous and difficult to convey in just words. You will be more convincing if you can bring in a portfolio of concept art to studios or other people instead of just trying to tell other people to guess your thoughts.

Wrong.
>All successful stories are at some level derivative
I know this, I'm not denying it.
>Video essay YT people are a dime a dozen and they are typically terrible at actually creating
I don't watch this stuff, so I don't know. But I know perfectly fine when something is good or bad most of the times, and most people do not. Look at the current state of cinema, how badly edited and lighted are most movies nowadays (in comparison to the movies of the past, especially the 70s and 80s).

>you can't properly articulate why something is good or bad, then it doesn't really sound like you are a good critic
I can articulate much of my criticisms, but not all of them. I admit I have more to learn so I can criticize myself as well.
>The position you're describing sounds more like being some type of consultant rather than being an artist.
I guess you're right. I'm also introverted and not good at social skills, so I'm not much the kind of person to act too independently unless someone gives me a push.

>How do I get an artistic job?
You have several options
1.Be a moderately attractive woman
2. Be rich
3.Be related to someone in the art field.

I hope this helps
