I'm 40-something years old and my life sucks ass. Not gonna get into details, but suffice to say that being a 40-something NEET is not a good thing.

Is it possible to turn my life around in six months without doing anything illegal/immoral/unethical and starting from a position of not having both any real savings and a consistently available IRL support system?

No.

You are comfortable in your pile of filth. This is the problem.

Lord Naoshige said: "The Way of the Samurai is in desperateness. Ten men or more cannot kill such a man. Common sense will not accomplish great things. Simply become insane and desperate."

>40 year old here
I haven’t been a NEET and spent my life up until now desperately eeking out an existence through feast and famine.

In my experience, it’s never too late to change things around, but you will need to rearrange your expectations greatly. Using myself as an example, I have no problem dating 20 yo’s, but I know that the window for kids is about 5 years. Plus, I would need to have a house and life of ease to entice young women and not busted ham planets with attitude problems and addictions.

As others have said, you need to be desperate and take UNRELENTING action. I’m talking nonstop work. You are outgunned and outmanned, but you have a lot more to lose.

And just to add, forget about support system. YOU are the support system. Seek out stuff online to give you a boost, even if it seems like a parasocial relationship. I recommend listening to Rich Cooper (Entrepreneurs in Cars channel). His advice is solid and you’ll get his message after 4 or so messages. Plus, the car chats are comfy and inspiring.

Sure.

Drive your car through a group of people.

Really fast.

Yep. You basically turn things around by getting a job, using that as your starting point to self improve. The fix is pretty simple in that way.

In time use the money you earn to help pay for school.
