I read some statistic recently that said something like 45% of men between 18-35 have never approached a woman. So if you're a genetic defect, so are roughly half of all men.

I don't know if you've ever seen that mouse experiment where the researchers provide everything mice need to survive, in absolute abundance. It's really interesting what the results were.
