Can you really shop for clothes online?

Every fucking time I have tried to buy pants or shirts online, I looked at the measurements, same measurements as clothes I already had that fit me the way I like, then when they arrive at my door, they fucking don't fit.

What is this insanity? It's so fucking hard to find clothes that fit me perfectly cause 5 foot 7 and skinny. And they make clothes for fat people or people that like the baggy look.

Wtf are you complaining about, clothes for fat people are the best thing ever since your pocket size has a volume of like 2l (i could fit 3-4 monster energy drinks in my pants), just get a belt.

Even in stores, the actual meaning of sizes vary from brand to brand. Many people have learned "I'm a size ___ with this brand and a size ___ with that one."

You can, just not with any precision when it comes to fitting your body properly. Most clothes require that you try them on; sizes vary wildly between stores even.

no that's retarded. it'd be like shopping for a car or shoes online. there are some things you have to try before you buy and it's non negotiable that should be obvious

Yep. Don't risk it, unless you're fine buying, having it delivered, then returning the same product, assuming it has a return policy and such. This is all in all a bigger headache than just buying in store if you ask me, but it's up to you.

Yeah I agree. Even the shitty USB cables I bought from Walmart lasted longer than the ones I bought from Amazon.

I ordered a kilt this week, it's underway we'll see. I can return it supporsedly.
I needed to order it online bc they are too rare where I live. The rest of my clothes I get at goodwills / free clothes places lol.

Yeah it fucking sucks. And don't even get me started on make quality. Got a pair of pants that fit me well and are very comfy, but are mad up of what feels entirely like loose threads.
I treat it as a gamble at this point. I got some really nice fitting clothes online, but I've also sent back what feels like half of my orders because they didn't fit

I buy almost my clothes at $1 to $2 thrift stores.
You just have to be consistent and go every week to build your wardrobe.
Socks I buy at TJ Maxx.
Underwear is just a waste. Don't wear it.
Shoes I usually do buy online but I will go to a Dick's or equivalent to see what I like first.
Also specialty products I will order off of TEMU, maybe a set of waffle thermals or bavaclava for winter.

They'll check the items you return for cumstains if you ask customer service, it's a Catch-22.

yes I buy them on ebay but you will get a certain amount that just don't fit or the fabric feels funny.. have gotten some of my favorites online though. Also if you know certain brands that are reliable it's better prices than at the mall, like Nike or something

Buy from somewhere with a good return policy and order multiple sizes, that's what some people on /fa/ and malefashionadvice do. Every brand seems to have its own idea of what size is what, what is slim and what is baggy, etc. so if you can't try them on in the store I suggest doing that.

are you retarded by any chance? If you bothered to look, most half-decent online clothes stores have a size chart or measuring guide. Each brand measures differently despite the usual sizing you might be familiar with. A "US Medium" can mean many things.

Every serious online store offers free returns, just buy the same pair of pants in 3 close sizes and return the two that don't fit.

Okay. What measurements? Inches or centimetres? If you are just going by small, medium or large then you a retarded. If you are relying on european sizing then you are still retarded. Unless you are measuring your clothes in cm and then comparing this to clothes online (and asking for this information if it is not available) then I have no sympathy for you and your issue is garden variety laziness.
