Currently working a fulltime job making $111k a year. I'm able to save half my income. What kind of thing is worth doing to make more money at this level? Side hustles? Crypto? Or do I need to just keep trying at business ideas in something related to my job?

How the fuck are you spending 55.5k annually?

On the theory that it may not last forever, load up your IRA, Keogh, 4-1K plans and look into other long-term investments

111k is pre-tax, so a big chunk goes to taxes. Here's where every dollar went last month. Usually it's roughly this amount, give or take $500 or so.

yeah planning to do the backdoor IRA for 7k before EOY. 401k maxed with 3.5% matching. No idea what long term investments to do besides VOO

What the fuck are those rent and food prices? Even the electricity and internet bill is a lot. Is living in america really this expensive?

I paid two months of rent last month
Internet is like $90 for unlimited 1gig speed
Electric is blasting AC since I'm in a hot location in the summer.
Food is a lot since my gf stays with me and I pay for both while she cooks everything. With that said food used to cost like half as much 5 years ago.

DCA into BTC and VTSAX. Try to get a second job. You could try businesses if you want but it's not a sure bet at all.

Probably getting certified & promoted a couple more times unless you are ready to go into a business idea or risky investments.

Side hustles are worthless for you - let's say you pull in an extra 20k working an extra 20 hours a week. Would be better off getting promoted.

would you dca now or wait for the markets to crash? What kind of second job would you advise? I'm currently remote and seems I won the lottery even getting this one

I'm at the most senior position I can get without working way more hours as a manager, so I'm leaning on getting another job and investments. I have no business ideas. I've tried a few businesses before and only lost a ton of money and years of effort, so probably not for me, especially without connections.

How old are you approximately? What's your job? If your job tops out at what you make, then you may want to consider switching fields.

> markets to crash
No one knows - there is saying that more money is lost waiting for a crash.

Might be safer to invest in contrarian narrative - precious metals, mining, etc. But that also reverses quick if inflation doesn't tick up and economy doesn't crash.

The real answer is to look for sectors you think have real potential - drones, robotics, small nuclear, space, AI, sex doll robots, bio, quantum, etc. At least 3 of the things I listed are bullshit, so DYOR, etc.

DCA means you don't look at the market at all and you just put in money every time you get paid. Just don't give a fuck at all, in 15 years you'll have a shitload of money.

>is living in a first world country really that expensive??
Yes, dumbass. And it only gets more expensive if you live in a high income area. Not everyone lives in a fucking favela like you.
