How am I supposed to reach out to people who don't want to share about themselves?

I want to connect with people, but everyone seems to be too wary, unavailable or so troubled they keep impossible distance. Is it wrong if my true self is a boring introspective guy who plays by the rules? I don't have looks to carry me, and I have become something most people just don't register in their radar. Is this the case where "being yourself" is counterproductive?

If you consider yourself boring then you've already figured out the problem, haven't you?

Stop being boring. Also be vulnerable but not too vulnerable. Hard to figure out for an autist.

I said boring from the fact that people don't stay around. I have no idea what "entertaining" looks like to people, or if I want to be that. I'm already vulnerable, I tell people what I like with enthusiasm, I give them a honest opinion, I've tried telling personal stuff and none of it clicks on others.

Should I stop being boring to others, or to myself? How do I know what others consider boring if they never share about themselves?
