I would like to join a run club but I am really ugly and I am scared that nobody will actually want to socialize with me and I will be sidelined while everyone else has fun. I am a NEET with zero friends and zero family, I feel horribly lonely.
What should I do?

why you do this

>I am not interested in running
I never said that. I like running, I go 3x a week alongside lifting weights. My times are ok, I run the 5K in 20 min, 10K in 44 min.

Cool, so just go running then. That's what the running club is for. If you manage to make friends or get a gf that's just an added bonus.

The run clubs in my city go running and then there is always an event afterwards like coffee or some rooftop drinking or whatever. That is what I am worried about, not the running. I have no idea if I can socialize being the horribly ugly guy I am.

people talk to people that are actually interested in the hobby eventually
if you're joining just to meet people start with other hobby you're actually interested in first and learn about running or something
people sense desperation and loathe it
I didn't know I was like that too, when I was younger I belonged to a rhythm game community at a local arcade and this dude would come and as the days went by everyone started either stopped talking to him or actively bullying him, badmouthing here
I was very busy because I was preparing for an international tournament for said game so I didn't know what was up
but then when things quieted down and I spoke with the guy I found out he barely played the game, only came here to try to pick up girls
I stopped talking to him and treated him badly when he started talking to me, I didn't even rationalize it, it just felt natural, he was a tourist into our hobby just to meet girls.

I feel like run clubs are more about socializing than running. Like the 2 run clubs in my city run an easy 5-7K distance and then there is time for socializing afterwards, like both run clubs advertize themselves mainly for "make connections" and "bring a friend".
I would be surprised if there were any serious runners there. I looked at the members on strava and most of them run beginner mileage with beginner paces.
I am a decent runner but I don't think I will get very far trying to discuss interval training at these run clubs.

5k is beginner in the hobby but not tourist level easy, believe me
I've taken girls to run and they die at the 3k mark or before, die as in properly throw up and faint
so yeah to you it might seem like a beginner level but try to take an anon who's only interested in cardio bunny pussy to run those 5k with you and see him make up excuses or die

Y'know not a bad idea. Lots of Dutch people run here in the Netherlands. And the runner girls are always so fucking hot. Not a bad idea at all.

Did you find these girls at run clubs? Not being able to run a 5K is really bad. I ran my first one in 28 min. Took me about 4 years to get my time to 20 min but I am more of a gymbro than runner. I could easily get sub 20 if I dropped my muscle.

Stop overcomplicating it. If you try joining and nobody likes you and the experience is horrible you still won't die and will also be able to try again with another club or another interest. If you never try however you will keep thinking about what would happen for the rest of your life.

Just go to the run club. If no one socializes with you, then it's just back to normal. If someone socializes with you, then your life improves.

There is a high chance that you will be at the bottom of the social hierarchy for quite a while.
The good thing is that you can slowly climb it by being a longstanding member of the group and being good at running.

of course not, I found them somewhere else, they saw I was fit and came with me to run only to die shortly after, and they were not fat one I would define as kinda fit even, just not used to cardio
but the point of my post is that you might consider 5k beginner or easy but that's because you're already in the hobby, if like OP you're just trying to join to meet girls you're going to get shunned because it'll be obvious you don't know shit about running and you don't actually care about running just went there to get sex
like those two girls I guess, we ended up fucking
not at the same time, not even the same year, just two experiences in my life years apart.

I have never been to a run club but if it's what I saw online then you will probably even be cringe if you talk about running too much. Like I don't think the girls there want to discuss the benefits of 4x4 intervals. The people there probably just like running and talk about whatever.

Are you a blimp/landwhale?
>yes
then you're just pity baiting
>no
Alright then. Do you have stamina?
>yes
i don't believe you.
you wouldn't be making this thread.
>no
Do cardio, enough to keep up.
Getting shit done = confidence.
If nobody socializes with you then don't baww about it, cuz at least you got something done. That's power to take with you on the road.

Boo hoo. It's a runner's club. Be there to run. You should actually want to contribute, as opposed to silently bawwing about yourself in the back. If that's not the case, it's not for you, and not a good place to socialize.
But I know that if you have no balls you're just going to type up another excuse and decide not to go. So I'm not going to entertain your next response. Feel free to prove me wrong anytime, fag.
