I think OP that at the end of the day women do the choosing and they will choose who they want to choose.
Sure there are guys who act more outgoing, have certain skills like dancing and flirting well, sometimes they look better, but at the end of the day, you are who you are and when a girl chooses a guy - it always looks successful from the sidelines because well.. she's injecting success into the man and he knows what to do with it.

So I don't know how the transition from being friends to something more goes like. But I imagine the girl needs to make some moves. I think it's important to normalize both girls and flirting in your head. The way I do it is I just, ask if I genuinely feel like this girl is open for connection, and she interests me. If I feel like I'm reaching, I probably won't do it. Because I want reciprocity on her end.

Don't be ashamed of asking for contact brother, and don't be ashamed of people seeing you do it. Always relay in your head that you're doing this because she's friendly and you like her as a person. Reframe it from dating intention to "I find this person awesome and want to hang around them more" intention
Hang out around with humans who have vaginas enough and one will go for you.
