How do I get over the feeling that my lazy life doesn't make sense and I'm that I'm not going to get better?

Sometimes I manage to do something, but it loops back to me not doing anything worthwhile for long periods of time. Sometimes I get depressed like that and most of the time I'm just ok with the "status quo" of my life.
