Anons, what would you do if your life was essentially a blank slate?
I'm at the ripe old age of 20 with no skills or experience to show for it. I live in Canada and this place is pretty much fucked. I've already accepted that I'll never be able to buy a house in the town I grew up in. Recently the job market has gone to shit too. (conveniently not long after I left my last job) Now I apply to the most basic minimum wage jobs and don't even get an email back saying no. So I'm wondering: what the fuck should I be doing?
I'm not very optimistic about my country's long term future. I have few connections here so at this point I'm willing to entirely uproot my life and move if it means I end up somewhere better. But then where's the best place to go? Should I just learn French and live among the Québécois? Or would it be better to get out of Canada entirely?
My family is European so I could potentially take some language classes, get a passport, and move to some country there. Except I've never been anywhere in Europe so I have no clue if the going is any better these days.
Are there any decent countries left to start a life in? I don't really care about any grand aspirations, I just want to live comfortably with maybe a little spending money to put toward stuff that brings me happiness.
