What is your best anti-doomscroll advice?
I am constantly drawn back to scrolling through the absolute bowels of the Internet, full of the worst of the worst people on the planet, and my blood boils every single time. But the hate is a drug and it's having a real bad effect.
If you're someone who got over your reflexive need to visit these kinds of places please share what worked for you

There's this secret taoist monk hand sign that will shield your mind to the temptations of modernity.
If you master it, you will be able to stay still all day inside your room, and not have any urges to pick your phone ever, like magic.
You could also fill your days with productive activities, but that's not the type of advice you came here for, right? You want magical solutions.

unironicly going outside and "touching grass", even if you have to force yourself.
go out, enjoy the forest or the fields. go for a swim. enjoy nature.
do it more often and soon you will no longer have to force yourself. some of it will stick and you will gradually do it mroe

To be fair facebook and reddit are even more toxic.

As for advice, get some learning apps for your phone and start up one of those every time i wanna doom scroll. Duolingo for example, and there are different ones for all kind of subjects.

If it makes you feel any better, I struggle with this too. I want to stop, but it’s hard not to scroll for at least 2-3 hours in the morning.
