What is the remedy to quiet desperation?
I have never thought myself as desperate yet my friends say I exude energy that conveys such.

How can I resolve this? Yeah I want a partner who doesn't but I don't think im overly weird about it or anything obsessive I just get kinda excited when I am beginning to learn about a new prospect. Some women are very interesting to me and I hate that my curiosity comes off as overbearing.

1. Practice bring nonchalant and aloof
2. Be nonchalant and aloof
3. Get used to it since this is what life is like after childhood, being a grown man sucks most of the time and people don't want your genuine emotion
4. Try to find a genuinely good woman you can be yourself with instead

Obviously step 4 is the hard part

Imo, they don't like you. So their brain tries to come up with plausible excuses like "quiet desperation" BS.
Meet more people, get better friends.

This. Truth. People that don't like you will just find more excuses and give you a never ending to-do list of bullshit

Sounds like a delusion that's being pushed on you from others. That happens when others want to use that for themselves in some way or from that individual to justify their own issues.

Ignore it

Try going insane.

Thank you everyone, how should one become aloof when faced with a very interesting woman? I feel like if I be cold like that it'd just shoot myself in the foot.

Ah, I'm in a similar boat as you, anon. People fascinate me and I like to hear their mindsets and the way they think, meaning I can get a bit clingy at times.
For me, it helps to focus on other things and try to think whether or not I'm... overstepping things.
>overbearing
People should be glad you're interested in them, just... try not to come off as nosy or anything like that.

Could you help me gel on identifying nosy behavior vs a healthy and attractive sign of showing interest?
I get the concepts but it's blurry, I can acknowledge partaking in nosy behavior but I want to really grasp it so I can get in front of the bad habits of my behavior.
