Im an 18yr old girl who has always been struggling with her self image her life and im just trying to give myself a chance now and learn how to move past my insecurities and such. My goal is to build my self worth gradually through whatever tips you guys have. am new to 4chan so sorry if i didnt do smth right.

you build self esteem by overcoming struggles. setting goals and achieving them. there was this study done i thin it was seligman who did study on rats or whatever and basically rats who were wild rather than lab rats have greater resistance to depression because they had to struggle for survival. and for them it was easier to develop resistance to depression too. and im mentioning this because i think low self esteem is a by product that comes with the feeling of helplessness

but i might be hallucinating

either way by seeking validation you wont build self esteem, youll only build ego

Start by not fishing for attention. Posting pictures of yourself is utterly stupid. You'll get vapid validation or be degraded. Likely both.

If you want to build self-esteem, get involved in any sort of project which will enable you to create something meaningful or train yourself so that you gain confidence.

You're a woman so it will be easy to surrender to fishing for meaningless attention instead of actual, real self worth. Don't do it. Get yourself focused on something that makes you more educated or skilled and the rest will follow.

I also encourage a martial art such as judo.
