There is no such thing as a "non-practice" girlfriend.
It would be an arranged marriage, otherwise.
Since you're probably talking about a girl to fool around with but not be committed - a side piece- no there is nothing wrong with it.
But as another anon said, there are millions of men married today to their former "side pieces". Especially, if you get her pregnant.
Be warned

It's not morally wrong. Lots of dudes date chicks for wrong reasons.
It's more ethical to be upfront with your intentions though as to not string her along too much.
as long as you make it apparent its a casual fuck around relationship
the problem is it might be hard to find a women thats down for a relationship where the man isnt that interested in or interested in "progressing"
odds are the women is gona want you to "take things seriously"
they say women are more and more just interested in these fuck around relationships, but they tend to be dating like 10 guys at once
just dont promise them you are gona do shit you arnt gona do, like marry them ect
I'm in such a fucked up situation. I never intended on dating this girl. We've known each other for five years. We slept together one night because she initiated it. Then afterwards she started acting like she's now my girlfriend. Calling me baby, etc. Wanting to be intimate all the time. I only fucked her because I felt it was inevitable. I tried to put it off as long as I could. She even said I'm her boyfriend. But I can tell she's just desperate to settle down get married and have kids ASAP because she's nearing 30. I don't want to settle down with her though so I'm just avoiding the topic and just trying not to be intimate with her.

This is why you don't do casual encounters in your social sphere. Now, you have an awkward as fuck conversation and permanently harshing the vibe between you to, to look forward to.

Yeah but we're from different countries. She's from Japan and I'm from America. I travel for work so I get to spend a lot of time with her, but still. I didn't want to tell her I don't want to be in a relationship with her, because it would've ruined our friendship.
