If you aren't understanding something you need to tell him what isn't making sense. When I was a tutor in college it was fucking annoying when morons would nod their head and say they got it when they were obviously clueless.

Khan academy or you haven't mastered previous years math, math builds and you need to be good at the previous years to understand this years.
