Is it normal for car dealers to be shitty people?
Went to a Honda dealer to try to get a quote and ask questions. I’ve never bought a “car” before (actually a motorcycle but whatevs). I went in, talked to the first lady I saw who then proceeded to treat me like trash on the sidewalk. I was like wtf??? I’ve worked retail and even been homeless before but I’ve never been disrespected to this extent. I walked out on the spot and left a bad review (shame I didn’t get the employees name).
Anyways, are all car dealers like this or did I just walk into a really shitty one? Even if I did dress like I had money, should I even buy from a dealer that’ll treat you like shit the moment they smell you don’t have any? What advice can you give to a guy buying his first motorcycle?

If a business is unfriendly or unprofessional, especially if I plan to spend several thousands, I just move on to the next one

Of course. They're all trying to scam you, essentially. That is why you get a used car via a private party, or a Tesla where you just buy it online.

Do your homework. Know the make and model you want, the list price (always a fiction) and the usual selling price. All that is available on the web. Know more about the product than they do, and let them see that

I went in there for a quote since there's usually additional bullshit that I have to pay for (like taxes, registration, etc.) that I want to see factored in

A lot of salesmen don't understand the customer service aspect of their job and dealerships are shitty places to work with high quotas. Assholes don't deserve your money, go somewhere else.
