Since forever I’ve liked bigger guys. I don’t know if it counts as a fetish or just a preference, but I can’t help but be attracted to fat guys.
My boyfriend is indeed quite chubby, and I love that. I find everything about him attractive. But I also know that, for most people, being fat is considered unattractive, and they’d probably think my boyfriend is ugly.
So when people ask me about him, I get embarrassed. I delayed telling my friends as much as possible. When I finally showed my parents a photo of him, I had to immediately “justify it” by saying that “he treats me great and is really funny”. I hate the idea of people thinking I’m dating someone ugly, even if I believe he’s beautiful.
Recently he’s started asking to hang out more with my friends (we usually spend time with his friends). I know my friends like him as a person, but anytime they see us together, I feel this wave of discomfort and insecurity.
We’ve been together for 6 months now, and I really like him. But this whole thing is exhausting, and it makes me feel like a terrible person.
