This is possible, but only if you give in to it all the time or (not uncommon) deliberately tell yourself stuff like, I will never allow myself to get hurt like that again, I will never lose myself like that again etc where you harden your own stance over time.

If you allow yourself to feel your feelings and actually grieve, the grieve will lessen and fade over time, that's just how it works. I said there's nothing you can do to really rush it but I guess that's not true, what you can do to make things happen as fast as they can, is try to find your own emotional center and sensitivity. Enjoy art, deepen friendships, be vulnerable with people. The more deeply you can feel on your own or in platonic relationships, the more you sort of train the emotional muscles you will eventually use to (allow yourself to) fall in love.

I'd spend at least a month out of the year traveling internationally. I might spend most of the year driving around the US in a camper van, too.
