My ex-girlfriend wants me to pay for her hemorrhoid removal surgery. She says that I caused her hemorrhoids by cheating on her with my now-girlfriend and being emotionally abusive. Both are true, I did cheat for months and I treated her like shit during that time, but I don't really want to spend any money I don't have to. Am I legally obligated to pay for the treatment? She doesn't have much money because I told her while we were dating that I wanted to be the only breadwinner, so she last had a job four years ago.

You're the one that cheated on her. She quit her job out of trust for you and you chose to broke that, while she didn't. You, single handedly, took the decision to make her jobless, without money, miserable, and even accidentally gave her hemorroids. Her chances to survive your treason rely on her non-existing savings, her cv with a four year hole in it and her destroyed vagina.

I'm certain she's not perfect for many reasons, but I doubt she has done anything worth what you did. In your story, the only mistake she made was dating you.
