He's in a tough spot because his popularity makes people specifically go out and dump animals on his doorstep at a far faster rate than likely any rehabber in the area, which makes him want to expand far too fast than he is capable of. On top of that, being a big, successful YouTuber is a full-time job in itself. He needs to hire people and delegate. For instance, the dude still fucking records and edits videos by himself. That is fucking dumb. He can hire a person to do both and he would never have to have a gap in content again (and thus not have funding issues). He spends all his money on building up his facilities and animal care. He should be building up a business. He should:
A) Hire/delegate so that he can continue bring in constant, steady income that maintains his facilities while he focuses on management and being the star of the videos (but not filming/editing himself).
B) Stop expanding as fast as his money allows and start thinking like one of the good non-profits that actually last more than a few years. This means not spending as fast as he can on expanding and using capital to invest in income-generating assets, so that the org is self-sustaining even if/when the YouTube venture tapers off/dies. That's how you leave a legacy while also not killing yourself from overwork.

I think his heart is in the right place but I agree with this. It's hard to keep track of the state of the ranch since most of the videos are just random ADHD snippets but there's clearly a lot of disrepair on top of the whole "work myself to death to distract from emotional/spiritual anguish" angle (which I don't mean as an insult, it's a brutal trap to fall into and rarely ends well).
I don't want to accuse him of neglecting the animals since I have no idea of how things go offscreen, but there have been an alarming amount of "projects" that seem to just disappear, like breeding the capybaras/rhea/kangaroos or attempting to make an indoor area for the reptiles or setting up the "second property", or whatever he's doing in SEAsia.
