Not that anon, but she only stopped *particular* foxes from being killed for fur by shunting them into the exotic pet trade.
Those fur farms then just bred more foxes and sold the same number of pelts.
The total number of foxes dying and the total demand for fur did not change, but some BPD thot got a ton of online clout and a fair bit of money, and some random people got weird pets and bragging rights as animal rescuers.
It's a very woman-brained scheme. Total fox deaths remain constant, but because *these particular foxes* are not dead you can feel good despite nothing really systemically changing.
It's like buying a bunch of cattle from a slaughterhouse and keeping them in your backyard. Then you tell everybody online that you're a good person for doing so, and that they can be a good person too if they pay the adoption fee to rehome one of your rescued bovines. Then you make an onlyfans and sell pictures of yourself squirting milk on your naked body.
At the end of the day the cattle farmer sees a slight increase in demand due to a new market: selling factory farm cattle to bleeding heart idiots to milk not for dairy products, but for clout and warm fuzzy feelings.
