I used to be obsessed with these big bastards as a kid, my grandma thought it was cute, and now her house is filled with giraffe-related art. Whenever I went to her house, I used to always go to the zoo with her to feed the giraffes.

pretty sure dogs cats and even rats have done this, just not in a controlled laboratory. both my dog and my cat could do this with treats (but only my big dogs could consistently prefer a larger treat to a smaller one and act peeved over a treat being broken in half)

What can a giraffe actually do though? If you hug its hind legs it can't reach you with its hooves, and its too sluggish to get away while you repeatedly bite it from behind. If you stand to the side of its hind legs then it won't even be able to hit you with a back kick. If it raises its leg to perform a stomp then all you have to do is back off until it finishes its slam, then move back in to continue chomping.

It's been settled. There are four species of Giraffe in this world.
Many others are subspecies, some coat patterns just mean another eco-species (like G. giraffa rothschildii) and then there's the Okapi.
