Saw a hedgehog chilling out on a very hot day. An African asked me for advice to move it. He was worried it was going to shoot it's quills at the children playing around it. I keked audibly.

I was driving back home and saw a small brown spiky spot on the road ahead of me. I pulled over and examined it and it was a hedgehog; bruised and beaten bloody but still alive. Must have been ran over by someone. I called an animal care shelter and they took care of the spiky goofball for me after I drove it there. Hopefully the little guy is OK

Thanks for bringing back the trauma. I hated that extremely depressing cartoon.

You laugh but a hedgehog did do that to me once it looked like a rat after. Obviously after beating it to a pulp with my hands I had to go to hospital. The doctor said that its rare but they get about one case a year in my city.
