Most people have never critically analyzed what they were indoctrinated to believe in the government schools especially since it's reinforced by the judeo-masonic media. They showed you a variation within a kind then claimed that proves changes of kinds and that life came from a rock and that's founded upon the retarded dumb big bang theory of literally nothing exploding into a universe full of laws and order and systems. They also have no explanation for where all the energy came from to cause such an explosion or keep the universe "running" so to speak. It's retarded, it violates all the laws of science, and you have to take a massive leap of blind faith to believe any of it since none of it is repeatable or provable or ever proven with the scientific method, but most people are cowards and would rather believe a lie to conform with the world than speak the truth or even consider the truth since it's so ostracised. As for why they change it, they're always changing their creation story. Just like how they use proven frauds to promote their lies in the textbooks then quietly remove it from the textbooks when called out for it.
