Its actually really dehumanizing how cats will act all cute and meowy when you have food but then cold and distant when you run out.

I don't have one I only interact with strays

Depends on the cat, and depends how he's raised / genetically dispositioned to be.

My late cat, that I still miss, cared little for who fed him, but because he was lacking in affection or people who would respect him as an individual (he was an oddly intelligent cat who wanted to be seen as equal to humans and would try imitating the family like sitting down to dinner, or using the toilet, refusing to meow) and in the end prized human interaction and companionship above food.

However it is different for every cat and I'd assume most cats can go cold when they are primarily food motivated and you no longer have any.

Why do catfags put up with this shit. I give my dog dinner and then he comes in straight after and tries to kiss me then wants to play.

I live with someone who has a cat, and have never fed it (I've never looked after it) but it's always cute and meowy to me for some reason. I also rarely pet it because I'm allergic and also don't want to catch toxo.

It's okay to pet a cat. Just wash your hands before touching food or your face and don't lick the cats butthole.

Okay but consider this
>Cat shits in litter box
>Shit contains toxo
>Cat kicks around sand in litterbox over shit
>Fecal matter on paws; sporozoites potentially kicked into the air landing on cat
>Cat touches itself with paws
>You touch cat

Correct me if I'm wrong, but cats only have toxo in their litter for the first couple weeks after infection. In that case, would it actually be safest to have a cat which previously caught toxo and has already gotten past this infectious period?
I've read that they can catch it by eating mice, and my roommates just got a new cat. Wondering what the optimal way would be to prevent my own infection.

threadly reminder that everyone screeching about toxo outs themselves as stinky decrepit turd worlders (they also have something else in common but i can't talk about that lest i get banned). toxo is a non-issue in western countries; i grew up around many cats and never even heard of it until i was an adult. however toxo is a problem in the turd world where feral cats are a major public health concern.

Toxo is actually a major issue in cat-infested countries like germany and england

It's only uncommon in civilized places that keep cats indoors for the most part but you still have to avoid it by keeping your cat indoors
