Can you explain in detail how these are exactly like feathers and which kind of feathers they're like? Paleontologists being stupid is as old as paleontology although to be honest the earlier paleontologists were a lot fucking smarter than the ones around today. I'm absolutely convinced at this point that paleontology attracts some of the stupidest STEM majors there are. When you see the kind of mistakes they make in their papers, not even lying. That's bad enough. Just the errors that are completely unacceptable because they're so sloppy.

That's not correct. Some Dinosaur features were seen to be similar to birds. But some Pterosaur and Crocodilian features are similar to humans. In fact, one entire reason Pterosaurs have been historically united with Dinosaurs (which is objectively incorrect by every standards) is their crurotarsal ankles like crocs. Hence "Crurotarsi". Except this is fucking stupid because humans have a crurotarsal ankle also, so it means fuckall.
