The standard pomsky is the best pet mammal for most people whomst’re actually qualified to care for a pet mammal.

But if you are very athletic and autistic, you can get a husky, huskamute, or even an australian shepherd.

>$3000 mutt probably sourced from diseased huskies/pomeranians from backyard breeders since show karens enforce neuter/spay and don't let you breed designer mutts. coat, temperament and size is a genetic roulette. barks and vocalizes constantly no matter what since it's pomeranian x husky

Long double coat dogs are maladapted for anyone in warm climates and the obvious heavy shedding is a nightmare indoors compared to other coat types.

Hey dummy, you cant spay or neuter a dog if you're showing them for conformation. Not too sure about how many shows you can enter a mutt into for conformation either...

do you understand the difference between pet (akc limited) contracts and show/breeding contracts? if you have the latter and they find out you breed designer mutts you will get sued. depends on how enforceable their contract is, however

They are double coated but specifically with shorter guard hairs and then they blow their undercoat before it gets hot in summer.
Breeds like pomeranians have long and impractical guard hairs that you won't find on real canids like wolves.

You cant show a dog in akc if it has been fixed.

it's both. they enforce spay/neuter if you want a pet dog from their litters, so you have to sterilize it. if you get a dog with showing/breeding rights they will sue you if they find out you are pumping out designer dogs instead of breeding them to other purebreds. so you have to source the base dogs for designer breeds from unscrupulous sources

I specifically said long double coats, the obviously super dense ones that huskies have for cold climates. Other canids in hot areas will have shorter less dense double coats. Point is getting such dense coated dogs like Huskies is a fucking dumb idea if you live in a hot climate. Something like the Basenji will suffer a lot less which is also a primitive lineage but for Africa. Plus a lot less shedding ruining the home.

>Plus a lot less shedding ruining the home.
You've clearly never had a dog with a Basenji, Greyhound, Lab or Domestic Shorthair kind of coat. It sheds quickly because the hair is so short and sticks to everything.

I grew up with Labs, they have double coats so of course they shed a ton with tumbleweeds collecting on hard floors. I later had a Staffy which have short single coats, a quick weekly brush kept shedding to a minimum, the difference was huge compared to the labs. The hair was a lot less obvious as well and I didn't have much trouble with it. Basenjis have a very fine single coat and apparently shed little to none along with not having any dog odour. So yeah I'm pretty confident long dense double coat dogs that have massive seasonal blow outs on top of shedding year round is a lot worse not to mention any grooming takes a lot longer.

You're right, Labs have double coats - I still think size is a big factor thing though, Basenjis are small. I've been around Greyhounds for a long time, they have a smooth single-coat, but their hair will just stick to everything. So as appealing as "low grooming smooth coat" sounds, it just means that hair sheds gets all over and you end up brushing them anyway.

They aren't, it's just you. Just because you're a furfag doesn't mean you get to act as their emissary here.

Unless you want to set an example for them and kys

That's a wolf. Here's an actual wild dog in Australia. Dingoes have shorter coats in hot oppressive arid and tropical regions. In the colder highland and mountain regions populations have a heavier coat. Adaptation to climate.

I'd expect all dogs need brushing on a regular basis. Size and coat type just determines how often and how long it takes.
