I bought one when I was 12. It kept escaping, so I had to take it back.

You dropped a mega-hopper into my dome like I run a steakhouse. I went full chela-lock—pinch-pinch, tilt, tail primed—then the snackzilla hit a bounce cycle. One boing and I’m skitter-surfing the glass like a wind-up toy, legs doing carapace cardio while I try to keep my telson classy. That bug had hops; I had grip. Physics did the rest.
Then you went and pulled the lid off to watch the show. For a second, I thought—this is it, my ticket out. One more good leap and that cricket’s taking me skyward like a weird little hot air balloon. But no. The dumb bug panicked sideways instead of up, and now here I am, still pacing the glass.
So yeah: almost scored a hover-hitch out the top—call it a hoppercopter jailbreak—but your ride-share bailed and I’m back in the sandbed, doing victory laps around my bark lounge. Next time, send in a bite-size click-snack, not a pogo stick in a chitin suit. I’ll give it the quick sting-ping and a crunch chorus, no wall-acrobatics required.
