The only one in any danger was the other animals from the dog. It's clearly overreacting. The cat is just wanting to touch the guinea pig to figure out what it is.

The dog just sees the rat as a pack member and is trying to prevent pack conflict.
The cat sees the guineabeast as an oddity to explore, then either ignore or possibly kill.
None of the animals in this clip are thinking beyond basic functions of animal behavior. If the dog was a terrier, it would have ripped the guinea to pieces without even trying to inspect it first.
