I want to see YOUR pets. Post your pet and tell me a little bit about them.
This is one of mine, many of you are already familiar with her but for the uninitiated she is a budgie simply called birb and she is a bit over a year old.

This is my African Bullfrog who is 4-5 months and is a fat fuck. He sits in a hole for 24 hours and then comes out to wreck all the fauna or bark I setup for him before then getting into his pool and shitting in it before hopping back to his spot. He has been doing this consquetively ever since the first month I got him and he will not chase any of the livefeed I give him. Instead he will continue to sit in his hole until I put a hopper in his face which he will then grab by the leg before swallowing it very slowly. It takes me 20 minutes to feed him due to how much carressing I need to do in order to convince him it's food. He forces me to do this humiliation ritual where I need the hopper to dart about so it looks a live but close enough to him so he does not need to pounce eat it, resulting in me having puppeteering the hopper with my tongs and get it to shuck and jive like a basketball american doll. This can range from 10 seconds to 10 minutes per hopper depending on his mood which I imagine is horrifying for the hopper, he also dislikes roaches. The least he can do for me is be a male so he gets on the big end size wise but it's looking more likely by the week the fucker is female so he won't even do me the favour of being a massive cool frog but instead a small precious bitch who disregards eveyrthing I do for him.

Why is her beak wax so textured already? Also what is the thing on the leg? I see it a lot online

Thats a very cute frog anon. Have you tried not feeding him and just waiting for him to figure out how to eat live prey? You could put him in a smaller enclosure with some crickets if he refuses to eat after a while of not feeding him. Im not an expert so maybe go ask on a dedicated forum if this would work.
>small precious bitch
Its pretty odd its that way around with African bullfrogs, usually the females are way bigger with most frog species Iv encountered.

The crust on the cere is hormonal its normal for female budgies it comes and goes. They reach sexual maturity at about 6 months so it is not unusual that she has it at her age.
The thing on her leg is an identification band, breeders use them to keep track of which bird is which.

This is rosie, my Chilean Rose-haired tarantula. I've had her since I was in the single digits. She's over 18 years old and she's HUGE. I love her to death but I think she just sees me as the weird shape that drops crickets from the sky and confines her in cup jail to ruin her beautiful web carpets.

Oh that prank is a classic among fish. Ive not had fish in years but I really like them. Never rlly got into bettas but they are very pretty :)

Oh wow she's a beauty, that's crazy you've had her so long. I knew tarantulas lived a suprisingly long time but i never realised it was anywhere near that long.

Yep she's even more iridescent in real life. And she'll live into her twenties! It's not relaly known what the true upper limit for their life spans in captivity are since it hasn't been that long since they started being kept as pets.

Shit like this makes me want to get a bird. Birb is really sweet looking and that bright yellow-green-black combo is pretty.

Its a really big commitment and you should do loads of research.
You also shouldn't keep them alone. But make sure the first is fully trained and tamed before getting a second or the first will end up returning to feral.
Make sure you avoid plebbit as they spread a lot of fud about keeping birds

Dont get another if u have enough. Im glad you are self aware enough to realize you have enough cats, I know someone who has like 4 in his one bedroom flat that he's too mentally ill to keep clean. Iv not visited him since he got these cats because im allergic and it fucking stinks

Thanks for the advice. I swear though that I won’t get a bird until I can be dead certain I have researched them enough and can provide a healthy habitat for the animal.

:) they aren't particularly difficult to care for their needs are just quite different to mammals and non avian reptiles. Especially because they are so intelligent they have psychological needs that you may not anticipate but also their biology/anatomy is sufficiently different that all sorts of shit that is harmless to us can accidentally kill them.

Blue tongue I've had for 6 or 7 years probably. This is actually a wild blue tongue that got caught on some sticky shit at my former supervisors home, and they decided to keep him (or her, still don't know) since the feet were bleeding. Asked me if I wanted to look after it since he didn't feel like was getting enough care (which was true, old shedding hanging off every toe). Literally the first reptile I've ever looked after, so I made sure to look up anything I needed to know. Certainly living much better than what he was, used to just have newspaper and a few bits of wood. Now has a larger terrarium, regular heat and UV, plenty of substrate to bulldoze through and lots of hiding room with the crawl spaces I built at work. Don't know how old the blue tongue is currently, but would easily be over 10 years. Is a decent size also, probably close to 50cm.
