I wonder how many unsuspecting animals are killed by falling pinecones each year.

This is serious stuff, drop bears can ride the pinecones down to get you even quicker

I've had a cone from a sugar pine nail me in the head before, the cone snapped in half and tore my scalp up. I'm glad it was dried out, the green ones have some serious heft to them.

Australians have to wear helmets (by law) if they go for a jog. What an absolute joke of a country. They larp like they're badass outdoorsmen but they're just bongs with a suntan.

There's bunch of reddit posts talking about how their pinecones are 5 kilos. I'm guessing this came from there, I'm betting if I reverse search that I'll find this exact thread there.
