what are the worst examples of pet care or animal husbandry you've ever witnessed?

Yes all that witch taught him was to be careless with lives you're responsible for the care of.
The lesson about death and appreciating life while its there hits better if you actually take care of an animal for a long while.

These are pretty good for keeping insects they have no business hosting anything with a spinal cord. I always get customers who want to put fish or turtles in it.

My mom bought me a goldfish in one of these. I was obsessed with it the whole trip back home. My mom went to the kitchen to do some stuff while I was in the living room with the fish. She came back to the living room and screamed her lungs out because I decapitated the fish in my hands.
I must have been 3 when this happened. I love animals but I guess my child mind was just too psychopathic about fishes.
I own a 60L (16 gallon) now with tetras and shrimp with live plants that has 0 algae. Very healthy aquarium.
