So you drug your cat to force it to sleep? Anon that's kinda fucked up

Wtf? You drug your cat to sleep at night? Mine would always sleep by my side whenever I went to bed.

The cat doesn’t care and melatonin has anticarcinogenic properties. That bothers you but you didn’t question the weed?

It’s an anxiety reducer and positive reinforcer for baths and vet visits btw

Some cats are more nocturnal than others.

>The cat doesn’t care and melatonin has anticarcinogenic properties. That bothers you but you didn’t question the weed?
Yes. If you are using melatonin to surpress a natural part of cat behavior I see that as being fucked up. Did you at least try to tire him out during the day with activities or physical stimulation like toys?

>>5042731
I get that but if it is a concern you should be doing a lot of other things before drugging them. It shouldn't be a problem anyway if your house is appropiete for a cat to begin with. I mean if you are REALLY struggling you should be using the melatonin yourself and not thr cat.

>noooo you cant give a nocturnal animal a natural supplement to calm them down!
Sorry but the cat is my inferior, not the other way around. Cats are subservient to people.

I can skip walks without my dog napping all day and running around at 2am. Cats are different. Some cats are closer to being diurnal. Others are always going to sleep during the day and be active at night no matter what. The cat adapts to me and doesn’t get a choice… or care.

Yeah, I enslave stray cats with heroin.
If they don't bring me twenty dead rats or mice every day I don't feed them the heroin laced tuna they are addicted to.
Something I've found that helps is adding a bit of meth to the tuna to perk them up.
I've got three cats now that kill a huge number of rats on my farm for free.
I call them father, son and spirit.
They seem to be wasting away gradually.
Can't be the meth because it's a tiny amount.
I am their God.
They will obey me forever because I am the only source of pleasure in their lives now. They can only get heroin tuna from me.
I love them and it is for the best.
Like the OT God the Cats are my Israelites and they will obey me forever and ever and ever.
This is true love.
I am saving them.
They were degenerate strays until I enlightened them.
Now they know that I'm God and that I own them.
They will never ever forget that.

I respect the philosophy, but I think there is trajectory of escalation before flooding your companion animal with hormones

If you're not getting your cat high, you're a bad cat owner. As an african/middle eastern animal they evolved to get blazed off nip every day.

Not him but I give mine 5mg morning at night just because it's an inherently skittish and aggressive animal

Imagine bending over backwards to respect the "nature" of something that has more difficulty with cause and effect than a dog

Anon that's not how melatonin works. Your body produces it to communicate the sleeping process. If you want your cat to sleep at night you shouldn't be loading it with even more hormones in the morning. You are only causing further issues with its body clock

I would encourage you stop the morning protocol and if you are deadset on night dosing make sure you use modified release and potentially a higher dose to compensate. Melatonin can still be active in your cat's system through to the morning and keep him drowsy.

It's impossible for cats to break their addiction with heroin because their primitive brains rely too much on instinct.
As a stray cat slaver it is my duty to make the lazy things work for the heroin tuna they are addicted to.
No dead rats. No heroin.
And the cats will happily waste away into nothing just to score that sweet sweet heroin tuna.
Anonymous No.5042867 >>5042874
Just so everyone knows, you should not start your cat out on 5mg melatonins. They might just get nauseous and puke.

You might not even need to go past 1mg but start with .5mg

Just enough to make the cat happy. You want drug addiction to be a pleasant experience for the cat you wish to enslave forever.

That isn't a "shitpost" my little sheep.
Melatonin is just one of the chemical tools for controlling the sleep cycles of my slave cats.
They are never allowed to sleep unless I give them chemical permission via melatonin.
