Anybody know what the fuck this spider is? Spotted it on a hedge in England not long ago, the body is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long and with the legs it's about 1 to 1 and a 1/4 inch long, never seen one like it in England before.

Were you bedridden until this year? They're literally just called "Garden Spider" and they're everywhere.

I'm out and about daily and have been for over a decade, do you have a page showing similar example? Looking at images for "garden spider" looks nothing like what I saw.

You sure? About the most I can say is they're both spiders but otherwise they barely resemble each other in my eyes. The one I saw this morning is genuinely about 2x the size of any other spider I've seen in these parts and I've never seen that colour scheme.

Dunno what to tell you, they do get lighter or darker in colour as a variation but it's a pretty generic spider.

From the wiki image you can see the obvious spikes on the limbs, but also the stripes as well.

This has to be the #1 generic-ass euro spider
