Probably the best explanation Ive gotten for this, this is interesting, only problem is, fat women (even in the belly) still have babies, but also...nvm, i was going to say something about how shouldnt the skin have room to stretch anyway, but I forgot to consider the weight factor of fat. Which then made me think about muscle, and since muscle is heavier than fat, based on your proposition which im considering valid for the sake of this thought experiment, even ignoring reduced periods it should be even more unlikely for muscular women to have children.
Although we still have the question about how fat women have children at all, if theres a stat saying fat women are less likely to have successful pregancies or something, then thatd be enough for your theory to be valid, but I feel like theres waaaay to many fat people in america, and the people that have the most kids (poor black people, i didnt need to add race honestly) are also the most likely to be fat
