How to teach a child (10 - 12) who abuses animals that it is a bad thing in a safe, convincing way?

I've never abused animals my entire life. The only times I actually hurt them was when I did stupid mistakes while fishing or keeping aquariums.

I remember I abused cats (no kill) when I was kid, but look at me now, I feed stray cats in my neighborhood nearly everyday and never ever hurt any of them... So everybody could be changed

chikd abusers are still children, they are at a point of development in life where they explore dynamics of dominance or submission. There are a lot of parameters at play but unfirtunately the most sure way to make the little cunt understand is through physical action. U less the kid gets that if he gets to be all forceful and mighty on weaker beings, well that also means that mightier and more forceful other beings can also abuse him, then he's just gonna keep being a bully and keep getting away with it because bullies never target stronger than them.

so yeah, tldr, no soft way. The kid abuses and likes dominating, and unless he's punished for it, he's not likely to stop.

Have a discussion with the kid to explain that animals have feelings and can feel pain, like he or she does. They don't have an equal strength, so they cannot defend themselves and it's cruel to be mean to them.

If the kid doesn't care, the belt should do the work.

I used to kick the family cat when no one was looking and for the life of me I don't remember why I did that. I was otherwise a pretty normal kid other than being shy around peers. The poor cat ran away and never came back and I dont blame her. I wish I could go back in time to undo it.

I have 2 kids. I have a dog and a guinea pig. I've teached my children to always approach the pets with calmness, respect and leave them alone is they don't want to interact. I also thought my dog to respect my children and act calm around them. The guinea pig is a naturally more reserved animal so no issues on that end.

Never had a single issue as a parent with pets. My youngest literally shushes people who speak too loudly next to our guinea pig and my dog is incredibly protective of my children.

You have to teach kids to respect the animal and make the animal understand they aren't above the children either. Make them understand they are supposed to be friends.

If the child continues to misbehave and mistreat the pet even after multiple attempts of you trying to calmly shut the situation down, beat the shit out of that fucking brat and force his nigger ass to understand he's a piece of shit for abusing animals.
