Obesity is excess fat to a degree that it has a negative health effect.
Bears getting fat before hibernation is intentional and good for them so they're not obese by definition.

Most animals aren't smart enough to develop the conceptual-emotion of shame. Humoids dont even do that until they have a sense of self image at like 3-4.

That's true if you are only a barely scrapping by species. I see plenty of fat, successful, wealthy squirrels. Its like back in the day when being fat meant you were successful enough TO BE fat.
