Reasons people take names on 4chan.

1. They discover they are vastly different to more than 99% of people and do not want to tread on everyone's toes by creating a massive image that anon is like them.
2. When one is facing future mental breakdowns potentially ased on past history, one leaves a breadcrumb trail of how to recover in the archives and can return to dig it up.
3. The flow of information from one person is clearer and there is less confusion in threads with people arguing with each other incorrectly.
4. The looking back on the thread in the moment is much easier when you can see what you said, this is particularly useful if your posts are more than one sentence.
5. Anonymity is not gone simply because you take a fake name, you can be anon just as easily.
6. The butthurt that works on most people to get them to cower away from actually creating a presence on 4chan is ridiculous and weak.
