i also have a Federal Firearms License and sell 12 gauge shotguns and other firearms as a side hustle to build my retirement savings
it is kinda "mind blowing" that there are three of us on 4chan, i didn't think it was that common
i don't make huge profits at it, as the large volume sales are mostly models like the Maverick 88 that have low margins, but from time to time i manage to get a nice Benelli or something like that for a good price and turn it around for a solid profit
it's enough to top off my Roth IRA contribution every year
that's on top of my 401(k) with employer match
what sorts of tax-advantaged strategies are you guys using for your retirement savings?

well, if you want some tips on making more money with your FFL, i can tell you that before i went into business, i figured gun shows would be my bread and butter for sales, but i actually do a lot more word of mouth sales than i thought i would
focus on higher-quality firearms instead of the Chinese and Turkish crap the big box sporting goods stores sell, and let your customers know you're open to being contacted by their hunting buddies or shooting club buddies who are interested in high quality firearms at reasonable prices
i had some business cards printed up to hand out
