Then put the flash drive in a drawer or some place not easy to get to. That way you don't delete it and feel regret, but also make it difficult to access in case you get those feelings again.
Then one day, if you feel like you actually want to get rid of your stash, just throw away the flash drive. Don't access it, copy files, look at it a last time, just chuck it in the trash.
Make it more difficult to access but don't give yourself the regret of going cold turkey and quickly getting rid of it. I hope this helps you OP.
