My advice to you is to back up your entire stash on a USB drive, put a password on it so you have to go through more hoops to access it. Then put the flash drive in a drawer or some place not easy to get to. That way you don't delete it and feel regret, but also make it difficult to access in case you get those feelings again.

Then one day, if you feel like you actually want to get rid of your stash, just throw away the flash drive. Don't access it, copy files, look at it a last time, just chuck it in the trash.

Make it more difficult to access but don't give yourself the regret of going cold turkey and quickly getting rid of it. I hope this helps you OP.

Then still put it all on a flash drive and keep it for a week or two. If you truly want to get rid of it, you can toss the drive so it's more of a physical activity with meaning instead of pressing a button. It'll also give you time to think about throwing it away.
