I need to appreciate that it's summer more and actually go out, love the beach but never go and I don't live near one
I'm decent. Work is work. I've been doing race car stuff and yard work instead of second work. I'm wishing I did not have so bloody many college kid neighbors. It's harder to find parking at my house and I'd like to bring my truck and trailer home some day and do some welding on the trailer. But, most of the time there is not enough room next to my house to park something that long.I could do the work at the property where I keep my race stuff but I'd prefer to use my welder for this instead of the one over there.
A lot of times in situations like that, the person doing the work enjoys it enough and likes helping that no payment is needed.
In those situations, I tell someone it's free but I wont refuse if they still try to give me money.
I wanted to reference Jaws because it's the eve of the 4th of July. And the 4th itself is gonna be reserved for overtly patriotic American theming if I get to make any of the threads.
I grew up in this house. The neighborhood has grown quite a bit. Several houses on the block converted to 5 and 6 bedroom things for college students. Another double lot was sold about 5 years ago so it now has the original house and 2 duplexes. Much higher population density than back when I was a kid. Used to be nobody ever parked where my family parks because why would they? its next to our house not theirs. Now people park wherever they can and walk up to a block to their own house.
hm, seems like 120 GB M.2 SSDs are less than 10€ nowadays.
Maybe I should upgrade that ancient laptop after all.

It is a strange silliness. A phase that comes and goes. not wholly offensive, but not wholly appreciated. its not to hard to go with the flow of gwegle. best not to try and fight it.
