back to my ganges joke and how the power of belief is a hell of a drug.
those people wash their laundry in the ganges because they believe that the river is sacred and has healing and cleansing properties, despite it being brown, foaming with pollution, corpses floating down it and much more.
they literally could collect rainwater and wash in that and it would be 1000x better than what they do. imagine how many skin conditions would be prevented and how much better they would smell.
but no, lack of education, belief, and socioeconomic factors fug them.
