European settlers, white Americans, have been extremely generous. They could have done what European empires, Middle-East nations, Asian kingdoms, African warlords, "Mexicans" and native American tribes have done for thousands of years; enslavement and genocide.
The only reason native cultures exist at all today in the Americas are because the whites who came and stayed were intelligent, progressive, and entirely unlike the religious cults and hostile tribes that spent thousands of years destroying each other. The people existing in the Americas were conquered and devastated when the "native Americans" crossed the land bridge those thousands of years ago.
The white Americans won, and they could have exterminated every previous nation in the Americas to make the future easier, but whites are too much different of redskins and hispanics to have done that.
