Democrats are bad for the economy
Just a reminder that in the past 75 years there have been 11 recessions, 10 of which started while a Republican was president

also

>every republican president except Reagan left office with higher unemployment rates than when they entered the office
>~82% of the S&P 500's gains, when measured as a % increase from beginning of presidential term to end of term occured during Democratic presidencies
>in the past 36 years, Democrats have been president for 55% of the time but 95% of the job growth occurred during Democratic presidential terms
>since 1950, the US has been in recession approximately 130 months. 120 of those months were while a Republican as president
>that means that the US was in a recession an avg of 1 year for every 4 years a Republican was President, but only an average of one month for every 4 year democratic presidential term.

OK, so using your chart, which shows from 1994 onward,

>Higher at the end of Bush than the beginning
>higher at the end of Trump than at the beginning

Since the pre-1994 data on my chart seems to be correct or at least you haven't provided a better option, I know that unemployment was higher at the end of Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford and Bush's terms than the beginning, so my point is correct.

It doesn't matter. There are shithole countries that don't have a single publicly traded company, yet they still have an economy, because people are still buying and selling shit and taking out loans. The stock market is not the economy, the movement of money is. Poor people suck and get screwed no matter who is president. We are lucky they are too poor to travel to the good neighborhoods and kill the rich and have mostly been disenfranchised for their crimes or incapacitated to the point they don't vote or we'd all be in trouble.

That said I like it when the 25-90%-ers prosper and that happens mostly when Democrats are president.

did you not read the chart? you sound like my aunt.

>How long had Bush been in office when the 2008 recession hit?
>Republicans had been president for 10 years when the 1991 recession hit
>6 years for the 1974 recession
>2 years for the 1971 recession
>8 years for the 1960 recession
>5 years for the 1957 recession
>3+ years for the 2020 recession.

So OK, you could blame Clinton for the 2001 recession, even though it was a combination of a stock bubble and Bush letting Bin Laden destroy the twin towers.

And sure, you could argue that the 1982 recession may have had lingering effects from Carter, although I would say Nixon's price stabilization efforts were the real culprit.

It still doesn't bode well for Republican policies if only 80% of the recessions are their fault instead of 92%

In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat", explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans."

Specifically it never really was, everyone lost their money, rates became inflated and the housing market has never recovered it has only gotten worse. So no, Obama made shit worse in the problem of partisan politics by allowing propaganda to gain a major foothold through his FCC regulations. There's no recession. Capitalism creates a huge amount of wealth, but an even bigger amount of money, that must disappear one way or another. You can eventually delay the crash by cheating, in which the democrats appear to be very good at, but the outcome is inevitable. So you can live on credit like a moron or live according to your means like a sane man and save for the bad years.

Depending on how they want to skew public perception they use U3 or U6. Those are MONTHS. 3 months Unemployed and 6 months Unemployed, so if you're unemployed for longer than 6 months YOU DO NOT MATTER.
I've been working with many people who are often "unemployed" longer than a year. We're doing "gig" work in landscaping, carpentry, wood, metal, masonry, concrete, drafting (this in particular for clients filing for permits with city/county/state), welding, CNC, and dozen other trades. Single task often just a single day worth of work, get paid when done, hustle to find the next job.
Just because I've earned $5K in one week doesn't mean I can live like Trump, I may not land another job for weeks. I have been unemployed since 2011, but haven't been Unemployedβ„’ since 2012.

Reminder for morons like you that the rich don't EVER pay taxes. They all participate in Jewish schemes where they pay themselves in stocks, take out low interest loans from Jews with said stocks as collateral, pay ZERO in taxes, that's fucking right: ZERO in taxes, and run off with their billions investing in real estate and other crap they want. Then the Jew bank cashes in on the stock value and gets their few percent points in interest, which they also cleverly don't pay taxes on.

And this is just ONE, ONE of the schemes available. Clever loss accounting, llcs, etc., all used to ensure no profit, no taxes in perpetuity.

And you fucks don't even hold the Jewish Democrats or the Jewish Republicans accountable. Ever. The last time you tried, Identity politics was used to crush your little occupy movement. Jews win and you, the poorfag, will always lose.

You want people who have objectively held employment within a 4 week period to be considered unemployed because they don't make enough money to live?
You do understand that is definitionally retarded right?
The same reason it's retarded to consider people who refuse to look for work "Unemployed"
These are labor force numbers. If you're not even looking, you're not apart of the labor force, you're not even unemployed, you're not looking. If you have worked, but only intermittently, you're underemployed, there is a metric that counts you as unemployed already, it's called the U6. You're marginally attached, or considered "Discouraged."
Those AREN'T MONTHS. Why do you believe that? The polling period of the U3 is 4 weeks. More people are counted as unemployed the higher you go, because it counts someone who hasn't found a job in 4 weeks as unemployed, someone who held a job but for less than 3 months as unemployed, and minimally attached (contract-only) labor as unemployed, it counts discouraged workers and marginal workers as unemployed, and it counts those who work only part-time as unemployed.
Pick your poison, all of these metrics say the same exact shit OP said.

Barter economies are super inefficient. Economics didn't grow significantly until capital was invented, or until a good which could function as capital (Gold and Silver)
Literally every economy independently invented currency before they were able to effectively trade freely.
There's really obvious issues with barter, stuff you can just assume out of the gate. You need a mutual interest, so if all the potential mutually beneficial trades have already been made, an economy will stagnate, which happened frequently, cyclically, based on seasons. That's why, as populations grew, currency naturally occurred, people traded carved bone, specific rocks, gems, and things without inherent use, because they held value.
If you look at the history of nearly any countries word for what they call their money, eventually you'll find a piece of rock, bone, gem, or metal, that they traded at the dawn of their civilized nation. Of course the Americas are a little different, because they were colonized and the word for money changed based on the largest early colonizing power.
