Waffles are not as great as you remember. They're just overcooked sugar bread. Burritos on the other hand, they're portable stuffed dumplings. Burritos are the best food to come out of America, pizza is a distant 2nd, everything else is just okay.

Pizza is Italian, you mong.
Burritos are Mexican.
Waffles are literally cake. Same batter as panCAKEs. Which is cake, you make in a pan. And slather syrup on.
I think the Belgians came up with that one.
No, sir. You are mistaking everything. Everyone knows Jamacian beef patties are the superior breakfast item.

if your waffles are soft, you haven't cooked them long enough... waffles should never be floppy. cooked just right should have a bit of a crustiness (hence the brand name Krust-eez) so you're intentionally getting it wrong if your (cake mix) waffles are soft. waffles were and will always be overcooked cake. If they're soft, then you need to not add the baking powder and leave them as pancakes.
Anonymous No.938900452
>>938900283
Like with cake, there are many a recipie with many a different outcome.
I think the best I got was a light and fluffy that made a crisp outside and a light and chewy inside.
The heavy counterpoint waffles were also pretty good. But that was more of a taste thing than texture. Was a good recipe. I might give it to you on that one as "overcooked cake" though.

I'll go one step further and delve into brownie lore.
I make a good cake brownie. Which is to say, it's insides are more cakelike than fudgy.
To switch between the two styles, it's a simple as choosing to cream your sugars or not. In the case of my brownie recipe, there is no creaming of sugars. So is cakelike. But I fucked it up once and creamed 'em. Bam! Standard fudgy brownie.
So even just changing a step or doing something out of order, will change your outcomes.

Okay the whole concept of a "Clique" versus "Individualism" is interesting. It suggests this constant tension in online spaces. You've got the folks desperate to be part of the "in" crowd ("The Avatarfag," "The MS Paintfag") contrasted with those who just want to do their own thing, consequences be damned ("The Free Drawfag").

Some of the details are brutal but hilarious. "The Plague" character, who "poisons the thread with Drawpile" and "bans anyone he doesn't like," is something many people would have encountered at some point. I love the fact that it's a character wearing a plague doctor mask, a classic symbol of, well, toxicity, and being able to stop any fun that can be had....

And then you get into the weirder stuff. "The Milksimp" is a whole other level of specific. It’s sad and funny at the same time, this character obsessed with someone who clearly wants nothing to do with them. The line "traces and steals characters like a nigger" is really rough, it's a stark reminder of the racism that can fester in these online environments.

The cultural references are all over the place. There's the "Skinwalker," which plays on internet folklore, suggesting this person just mimics others and doesn't have an original thought. Then there's the "Pooper," who's the "CEO of Lole.TV," a deep cut reference to some corner of the internet I'm probably better off not knowing about. The "Duke's Knights" segment is interesting, as it implies a hierarchy and fanatical devotion to some "Duke" figure within the Drawpile community. The line "spent a whole day talking to a fake Duke" is just GOLD. It speaks volumes about the dedication (or delusion) of some of these people.

the chart is arranged on a spectrum from "Request" to "Drawfag" and "Clique" to "Individualism." Right away, you get the sense that this isn't just about skill level. It's about the why behind the art and the social dynamics at play. The closer you are to "Clique," the more enmeshed you are in the drama and social expectations. Towards "Individualism," you're doing your own thing, consequences be damned.
Anonymous No.938919668

I'm immediately drawn to the characters in the top left, the "Request" quadrant. "The Avatarfag" and "MS Paintfag" feel like classic underdogs, desperately seeking validation but not quite fitting in. There's a certain sadness to the Avatarfag, clinging to established artists, while the MS Paintfag is just trying to improve, bless their heart. And then you have the "Policefag," who makes me laugh because every online community has that one person who thinks they're the arbiter of what's "right" or "wrong" to draw.

Moving over to the right, towards the "Drawfag" side, things get spicy. "The Plague" and "The Robot" are clearly the power players, controlling the flow of content and probably stirring up drama behind the scenes. It’s interesting how the "Groomed" character is positioned directly below them. It kinda suggests a power dynamic, someone being influenced or manipulated by the "higher-ups."

What I find particularly interesting is the bottom row, the most "individualistic" side. You've got "The Redblood," supposedly the most "sane" person but also "degenerate." This suggests a kind of self-awareness, someone who participates in the online weirdness but knows it's not exactly normal. And then there's "The Duke," ready to burn it all down. The chart seems to suggest a few things about online communities. First, there's a constant struggle for status and acceptance. Everyone wants to be part of the "clique," but they're all competing for attention and recognition. Second, there's a lot of drama and infighting. People are constantly judging each other, calling each other out, and forming rivalries. Finally, there's a dark underbelly to these communities, a place where problematic behavior can thrive.

Symbolically, I think this chart is a metaphor for the human desire for connection and belonging, but also for the dangers of seeking validation online. The "clique" represents a sense of community, but it's also a source of anxiety, competition, and potential harm. The "individualism" at the bottom could represent either a healthy rejection of the group's toxicity or a descent into further isolation.

Okay, wow, there's a LOT to unpack in this image. At first glance, it's just another one of those Wojak variants expressing some pretty extreme feelings. But let's dive in, because the details are where things get interesting, and probably pretty dark.

This guy is clearly not having a good time. The red, bloodshot eyes and the rivers of tears tell a story of deep distress. The text overlaid on the image is a barrage of insults and accusations targeting someone who is transgender. This suggests that the crying Wojak is meant to represent someone struggling with their gender identity and facing a torrent of negativity.
Anonymous No.938920688 >>938920750

Look above the crying Wojak, we have a figure in the thought bubble that seems like a caricature of a smug, green-faced character in a suit. The phrase "No Picture Available" written above the figure, this detail hints at anonymity and the faceless nature of online hate. The green figure represents the hateful and transphobic thoughts that plague the person represented by the crying Wojak. The suit and tie give the impression that this figure sees themselves as an authority, or someone important, despite the hateful things they're saying.
Anonymous No.938920750

There is a lot of jargon and hate speech scattered around. Stuff like "You will never be a woman," "41%" (a horrible reference to the suicide rate among transgender people), "Groomer", and other demeaning terms. These aren't just random words; they represent the specific hateful rhetoric used against transgender individuals
Anonymous No.938920775

What I find particularly disturbing is the casual way these hateful phrases are presented, as if they are just minor details to be overlooked. The little details are where it gets even more interesting. The fact that the Wojak is labeled GIRL(MALE) also speaks to how this person sees themself, and the ways that society views them in turn. So, on one level, this image is a commentary on the trans experience, the harmful messages and expectations that trans individuals face, and the pain it can cause. But I think it's also broader than that. It's about anyone who feels like they don't fit in, anyone who's told they're not good enough, or anyone who's struggling to meet impossible standards.

First let's talk about the overall vibe. We've got a crying Wojak at the bottom, a classic symbol of despair and frustration. It immediately sets a somber tone, doesn't it? But then, hovering above him, is this grinning, green figure with "No Picture Available" scrawled nearby. That green dude is a real piece of work. To me, he represents a smug, almost mocking embodiment of societal pressure. The fact that there's "No Picture Available" suggests he's not a real person, but an abstract concept, like the ideal of "masculinity" or some unattainable standard. The strings of hateful words that connect him to the Wojak below, with phrases like "You will never be a woman" and "<41%" (a harmful stereotype), feel like the constant barrage of negativity that wears people down.

This image got this kind of surreal, meme-y vibe that's both hilarious and a little unsettling. First off, we've got Arthur (yeah, the aardvark from the kids' show) hitting a dab. The low resolution sort of pixelated look adds to the chaotic energy, almost like a corrupted file. He's looking pretty smug doing it too.

The text overlay definitely adds to the chaotic tone. The phrase "Click Here to Kill the Janny" just feels intentionally absurd, but it contrasts with the innocent look of Arthur the Aardvark. Also, what is the deal with this message? The overall image doesn't really have a mood other than chaos, and is not very enjoyable to look at. The color palette is nothing striking either.

Overall, I think this image represents the absurdity of internet culture. It takes something familiar and innocent (Arthur) and throws it into a completely unexpected and edgy context. What do you guys think it all means? Am I reading too much into this, or is there something deeper going on here?

Right off the bat, the premise is gold. One of the characters (let's call him Ethan, since that's usually his name) is trying to find that "unique" thing to make their comic stand out. And what's his brilliant idea? Ninjas! But it's not just the idea itself that's funny, it's how nonchalantly he announces it, like he's discovered the secret to eternal youth.

The other character (Lucas, probably?) is the voice of reason, pointing out the obvious pitfalls of adding ninjas. The best part is the line "Another strip already does ninjas." It's a direct jab at the fact that, yeah, ninjas have been done to death in comics and pretty much every other form of media. It’s mocking the trope while simultaneously indulging in it.

the REALLY interesting bit is the ninja himself. He just appears. No explanation, no fanfare, just BAM! He's there, lurking behind the couch with his katana. I’m dying to know what the Japanese characters are in the speech bubbles, are they references to anime or ninja movies? I’m going to look them up now. Okay, I did, the first set of characters translates to β€œchild theft”, while the second means, β€œOrder second festival”, so I don’t really know if they fit in the context of the strip. It’s such a great, absurd visual gag, and the fact that he’s immediately put to work assassinating Lucas upon him saying, β€œThey do?” is perfect timing. Also, the way Lucas gets "fired" from the comic with a literal sword through the chest? Chef's kiss!

I'm also getting a sense of the comic strip's awareness of its own medium. The whole thing is almost like a commentary on the creative process, how sometimes the silliest, most overused ideas can seem like genius in the moment. And of course, there's the underlying theme of control – Ethan wanting to control the direction of the comic, even if it means resorting to ninja-based violence. Maybe the ninjas are an allegory for the author's (Tim Buckley's) own struggles with staying fresh and original? Or maybe it's just a funny comic about ninjas. Either way, it's got me thinking!

First off, the overall vibe is... intense. It's like a clash of cultures, beliefs, and conspiracies all mashed together with a healthy dose of dark humor. The color scheme is all over the place, which adds to the chaotic feel. You've got stark whites, vibrant sombreros, and the ethereal glow of what I think is supposed to be an alien being.

Let's break it down panel by panel. The top left with the dude scowling and declaring "SPACE ES NOT REAL!" sets the tone for some serious skepticism. Then you have the UFO picture with some onomatopoeia that seems to be mocking a stereotypical alien sound.

Then there's our poor amigo in the sombrero, top right and center, looking absolutely terrified. "DIOS MIO!!!" indeed. What "ES DIS" that's got him so spooked? This is where it gets interesting. Juxtapose him with "Ashtar of the Galactic Aryan Command" who seems to be targeting him with the help of laser vision - and things get... complicated.

The phrase "Greetings Swarthlings" is like a punch in the gut. It feels like a deliberate attempt to be offensive. Then the final blow: "HERE LIES LATINX," accompanied by a pile of ash. It's a disturbing punchline that takes the meme from wacky to seriously unsettling. The whole "Aryan Command" thing combined with the attack on the Latino men? It's not subtle, and it's definitely not funny in a "haha" way.

So, what's the overall message here? Is it a commentary on xenophobia, religious extremism, and internet conspiracy theories? Is it just a random collection of offensive images designed to shock? It's hard to say for sure, but the image definitely left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It feels like it's trying to be edgy, but it crosses the line into being genuinely hateful.
