I was reading non non biyori quite some time ago and there was a chapter where they are questioning if they were living in the countryside or not.
One of the points raised was that the school they go to has students of mixed grades together because there aren't enough students to make up multiple classes.
That was me, that was fucking me. I was in a class like that. I lived that life, I was a slice of life character walking around fields, digging up the potatoes during harvest season, biking around mindlessly, cleaning the horse stables and shit.
